Presentation will highlight Cigital’s SecureAssist – a technology that provides just-in-time security guidance while developers write code

DULLES, VA, February 16, 2012—Cigital, Inc., a leading software security consulting firm, today announced the company has been selected to participate at the AFCEA DC Emerging Technologies Symposium on February 21, 2012, at the Capital Hilton in Washington, DC. Cigital was selected from a highly-competitive field of candidates to present its technology, SecureAssist, an IDE plug-in that automatically provides “just-in-time” security guidance.

Cigital’s SecureAssist was selected from a field of innovative technologies by a committee of Government, Industry, and Academic professionals versed in the current trends in the military/government IT community. The evaluation process included a competitive, vendor-neutral process for determining the industry firms selected, and presentations chosen represent the most pressing challenges facing military and government IT.
