Categorizing mobile code

• Classes are categorized based on two things

• Identity equals:

  • URL of origin (CodeBase)
  • public key corresponding to private key used to sign the code

• Policy maps access permissions to code categorized in this way

• If this seems confusing, imagine trying to set up and manage a mobile code security policy!
