About the Location
The 1999 symposium will be held in Palm Beach County, Florida, which extends from West Palm Beach to Boca Raton. Palm Beach County includes much of the high technology area in Southeast Florida. Some of the companies with major research and development plants nearby include Motorola, Harris, Siemens, United Technologies, Cordis, Encore, and Racal-Datacom. Many other smaller companies are also in the area. This area is also a very popular for tourism. There are many major tourist attractions and airports. Palm Beach International Airport in West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale International Airport in Fort Lauderdale provide convenient air travel. ISSRE99 will be held in conjunction with the Metrics'99 conference (November 4-6).
