"Preserving and Enhancing the Value of Software"

ICSM is the major international conference in the field of software and systems evolution, maintenance, and management. Participation includes Industry Day and Tools Fair in collaboration with ISSRE 2000, Research papers, Experience and observation papers, Workshops, Panels, and Tutorials. ICSM '2000 will be participatory, with working collaborative sessions and presentations of industry projects. The focus of ICSM '2000 will be on methods to prevent the decay of software products (e.g., structure, documentation) while enhancing their business value and adapting them to new market needs. Such an objective requires to be able to identify decay and measure it, prevent it through better process and management procedures, and correct it through efficient re-engineering techniques.

Papers, panels, and tutorials that integrate maintenance with software reliability are particularly welcome.

ICSM'2000 and ISSRE'2000 will feature an entire day -- Industry Day -- on 11 October 2000 dedicated to key companies describing how they perform maintenance, software reliability engineering, and testing. The initial list of participants follows:

Industry Day will be following by a visit to the exciting Technical Museum of Innovation in San Jose for an evening of exhibits and dinner in the Communications Gallery: Global Communications and the Exploration Gallery: New Frontiers!

ICSM '2000 invites participation in the following forms.
