John Wyatt is a 25-year veteran of the technical and business consulting industry. He has an impressive career of increasing results in profit performance, process reinvention and innovation in technology, including a string of successes going back to the late 1980s and early 1990s as CEO of James Martin & Co. There, he transformed the company from a boutique methods consulting firm in North America to an innovative global solutions company in 18 countries with 800 staff and revenue of $100M.
John was also CEO of Ariel Research Corp., a services firm dedicated to safe & responsible handling, manufacture and transport of chemicals throughout the world, and CEO of OneSoft Corporation, an e-business software platform provider.
At Cigital, John is responsible for the business strategy and plan, and overall financial and operational management.
Prior to the founding of Blue Water Capital, Henry was an investment banker specializing in strategic financings and sales of technology companies. Before that, he was a Partner with CEO Venture Fund, a Pittsburgh-based broad spectrum venture capital firm with $45 million under management. Henry was also employed in the banking industry and was a Group Vice President of Central Fidelity Bank, a $9 billion financial institution where he managed a $50 million loan portfolio and served on the bank's senior loan committee. He has broad experience in the venture capital and private sector financing of advanced technology companies and has served on the boards of companies in the software, industrial automation, health care and distribution industries. Henry attended The George Washington University and Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He is a director of Access Point, Cigital and Number 6 Software.
Henry is a Managing Director for Blue Water Strategic Fund I, Blue Water Venture Fund II, and Blue Water Venture Fund III.
Marc Benson's career is anchored by three extended tours of duty; corporate, entrepreneurial and venture capital. Early in his career he spent eleven years with AMF, Incorporated, where his responsibilities spanned financial, sales, marketing and international functions, culminating in the Managing Directorship of one of AMF's European divisions. He subsequently joined and later led the leveraged buy-out of Independent Products Company, a manufacturer of injection-molded housewares, where he served as CEO for four years before selling the company to publicly traded Selfix, Inc. Marc joined MAVF as a partner in 1992 and opened the firm's Northern Virginia office in 1996. He has funded more than twenty-five startup and early stage ventures including Visual Networks, NET2000 Communications, Sequoia Software and Wisor Telecom. He holds a B.A. degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Gary McGraw, Ph.D. is the CTO of Cigital, Inc., a software security and quality consulting firm with headquarters in the Washington, D.C. area. He is a globally recognized authority on software security and the author of six best selling books on this topic. The latest, Exploiting Online Games was released in 2007. His other titles include Java Security, Building Secure Software, Exploiting Software, and Software Security; and he is editor of the Addison-Wesley Software Security series. Dr. McGraw has also written over 90 peer-reviewed scientific publications, authors a monthly security column for darkreading.com, and is frequently quoted in the press. Besides serving as a strategic counselor for top business and IT executives, Gary is on the Advisory Boards of Fortify Software and Raven White. His dual PhD is in Cognitive Science and Computer Science from Indiana University where he serves on the Dean's Advisory Council for the School of Informatics. Gary is an IEEE Computer Society Board of Governors member and produces the monthly Silver Bullet Security Podcast for IEEE Security & Privacy magazine.
